Unbelievable Immersion with Video Games
Everyone remembers their first time playing a video game! Whether it be as far back as pong or some of the newer system games on the market everyone has played a video game.
Evolution of Video Games
Thanks to the popularity of television, a new entertainment market was created. With the popularity of television in 1970’s, the 1980’s gave wide spread opportunity to video games.
Though simplistic by today’s standards some of the first systems were Atari, and Nintendo that had the industry taking off. Then as technology increased so did the abilities of video games going from 8-bit to 16-bit to 32-bit and so on.
The late 90’s early new century brought us a new form of video game experience. Computers were becoming a household item and the internet was being to spread like a forest fire.
So the ability to communicate with people across the world was now a possibility at the click of a button. This brought about a new way to play video games, multiplayer capability. No longer did you need someone sitting next to you in order to compete against some one.
The Future Is Here – Multiplayer
Multiplayer games have come a long way and now there are games in all genre; sports, adventure, role-playing that can be experienced and competed against by millions of people at one time. While at first computers had the leading role in this category it did not take long for the video game systems, such as Xbox and Playstation to jump on this and this gave it the boom that we are seeing today.
There is no telling what the future will hold for the video game industry but 20,30,40 years ago, no one ever imagined it would be like this!
